Opening at the NH gallery on saturday

I've been preparing pretty hard for this show on Saturday. With the help of my wife Charlotte, my nephew William, and Alison and Sara from the gallery, We have transformed the walls of the gallery into piles of cubes. Using a thick black paint we covered 3 walls with stacks of cubes emerging, falling, and buried. After a couple hours, even the most experienced cube drawer/ painters will start to see a'skew, unable to stop their obsession of the geometric shape.

In my older work, I tried to make the environment in a space tight and confined. In this particular installation, I have overwhelmed the viewer's sight with organized chaos. The same imagery that i see when closing my eyes after playing too much tetris. i dream about falling blocks and the bastards won't leave me alone.

After this install i will need to check myself into a cubeular rehabilitation program which involves plenty of organic shapes such as sticks and rocks (aka Colorado)
